About Northfield Therapy Centre
Suz West founded Northfield Therapy Centre in 2019, with the aim of providing a better environment for the care of her clients. The centre is located on Station Road close to Northfield Train Station and Esso Church Hill. The therapy centre is able to be accessed by most forms of transport. It is within walking distance of the 48, 27 and 18 bus routes as well as the train station and has off-road parking facilities for those who drive. Northfield Therapy Centre also provides talking therapy rooms for other therapists to hire.
Suz first established her therapy practice in Harborne, Birmingham, in 2014. She is a highly qualified counsellor, as shown below:
- Foundation Degree in Person-Centred Counselling
- BA (Hons) Counselling
- OCN Certificate in Counselling Supervision
- Counselling Skills Level 3
- Counselling Skills Level 2
- Safe Guarding Level 2.
- Accredited member of the BACP.
Suz has attend a range of Continuing Professional Development courses including:
- Dream Analysis
- 4 Day Bereavement Course
- Working with Dreams
- Gestalt Two Chair work
- Class and Counselling.
Therapy is available at Northfield Therapy Centre under self-referral. This means that you do not need to be referred by a GP in order to receive therapy with us. Please note; our therapies are not a substitute for medical diagnosis and treatment. At no time will you be encouraged to stop treatment or to reduce or change your prescription drugs without talking to your GP or consultant.

Q: What are your regular opening times?
A: Appointments with Suz are available between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. Rooms are available for hire between 8am to 8pm every day including weekends.

Q: Do I require a GP referral to attend therapy with Suz?
A: No, you do not require a referral to begin therapy with Suz. However, we do recommend that you see a GP regarding therapy and advise that it is not a replacement for ongoing treatments.
Q: How are sessions with Suz funded?
A: We operate privately, meaning sessions are to be funded by the individual attending. Our standard rate is £45 for each 50 minutes session; some concessions are available.
